scabzzzz 12-07-2006, 08:59 PM dont play, are you ali g?
tonyyy 12-07-2006, 09:50 PM well, what I did was took a regular old wire, spliced both ends, so that there was about 1/2 an inch of copper wire on each side.
turn your key to acc. (the one before you turn the car on)
stick the wire in diagnostic port #7 with one side, and #19 with the other, hold it there for about 5 seconds, then remove the wire, and check the service light. if it didnt work, try it again, and if not then search the forums, theres a bunch of DIYers.
scabzzzz 12-08-2006, 12:22 PM naa thats correct. dont use the wire though, use a paper clip. have someone hold it for you while you flip the accessory on
tonyyy 12-08-2006, 12:46 PM either or.
AutoM3otives 12-08-2006, 07:42 PM either or. paperclip worked for my ti. didn't when we tried for tonyyy's, wire fixed his lights.
scabzzzz 12-08-2006, 08:43 PM weird. wouldnt think wire would work well. anyways, whada ya expect from ghettoizing a dealer reset light?
tonyyy 12-08-2006, 08:54 PM yep, tried the paperclip 3 or so times, and didnt cut it.
so tried the wire, and did it, first try.
madmacca06 12-08-2006, 09:18 PM cheers m8's i have done that worked fine but it some how wiped out my rev-counter, temp-gauge & mpg clocks hows that happened???????

what year is your car because if you have a 96+ thats OBD2 and I don't think it will work the same as a 95 or below.
