Brody 12-06-2006, 03:49 PM Hey samZ,
There are many good companies Like Dinan, EAT or Jim Conforti out there making chips, And yes they all say they increase your power. But you have to watch out for the fine print. Chip companies dont expose the details in broad day light. Sure a chip alone will increase your power. But for example If a chip says it will give you say 20 -25 hp gain, you have to think, how can just a piece of software give me that much power without doing anything hardware wise. What im saying is the Car is pretty much only going to yield marginal benefits with just a chip. These companies base their HP gains on the Chip PLUS some hardware mods, like CAMS, exhaust etc. etc. Just keep that in mind when browsing.
SC David 12-06-2006, 03:51 PM EAT or Jim Conforti seem to be the preference around here. Both provide good gains for the M30.
Brody, I do agree with you, yes you're right. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Another question came up.....are all the headers will give sound???<o:p></o:p>
Because I'm willing to go for headers but not sure if sound will be coming because I really want my car to be smoothly sounded.<o:p></o:p>

Brody 12-06-2006, 04:03 PM It might change the sound a little bit but it shouldn't change it very much.
Dan Miller 12-06-2006, 04:58 PM If you want good power for the money, check our MAF, its like A performance chip but it gives you so much more. It allows you to rid yourself of the old AFM sensor and ad our new MAF. and right now with the deal going on theres no better deal.

You guys a paying vendor?
Antrieb 12-06-2006, 05:12 PM Yeah you guys better be careful what you advertise here. I have a friend that parts out cars and was advertising on here and got BANNED for not being a supporting vendor.
Send a PM to Kevlar if your interested in becoming a supporting vendor.
xatlas0 12-06-2006, 05:38 PM With the M30, though, a chip is a little different. The car was designed to run on regular or mid grade gas. (87 or 98) This is different than every later BMW engine, which is designed to run on premium only. Therefore, when they make a chip, they also make it require premium gas so it doesn't knock on the new tune. This extra timing gives you a lot more power than the standard chip.
Antrieb 12-06-2006, 05:53 PM I warned Miller as soon as they joined here about getting banned :rolleyes

Dag nabit Dan, why did you have to go and do that. :eyecrazy Oh well, We will figure something out. ie we will become supporting vendors. But untill then I try my best to keep my mouth shut about Miller performance.:)

Yes you should definately become sponsors ASAP so you can keep us informed about the new m30 turbo kit :)
moroza 12-07-2006, 06:29 AM I'm sure someone with a 535iA will chime in at some point, but FWIW, I have a JC chip and I'm very happy with it. The car feels stronger, though it's a subtle difference. The EAT chip is supposed to be even better for the M30, but I got the JC for a really good deal and don't have 250 lying around.
