I've seen many X5's around town with the factory OEM hitch that can be used for towing, snowboards, bikes, etc.. Its pretty expensive through BMW, but does look clean. In searching around I can get a draw tite hitch (or something similar) installed for about 75% less, but I don't want to jeopordize anything on my rig. Of course BMW tells me to use theirs, and my local 4x4 shop says that theirs is the way to go.

Can anyone tell me what would be the best route to go and why?
