Hey everyone,
Some of you may recall my post from a while back about a noise from the rear end of my 2004 325i. I have a noise that is quite apparent at around 60+ miles per hour. It sounds like a "rolling" sound.

So far, to "diagnose" this problem, the dealership has:
-Replaced right rear wheel
-Replace front right tire
-Front end alignment
-New rear rotors (No more vibration in steering wheel!)

They think its the emergency brake assembly. Looking through the archives, I'm worried it may be a rear differential. The car has about 20,500 miles on it.

PLEASE, help me since the car is going in next week. I don't want to be without a car for a few days while they stab in the dark.

Thanks guys! Any input is appreciated!

It sounds like a failing wheel bearing, but there's no way to truly diagnose this problem over the internet. You need to find a reputable quality mechanic in your area to properly diagnose and repair your car.

Did you change tire positions to see if the noise moved? Soes the noise change if you're weaving back and forth? (if yes, it a bearing) Can you reproduce the noise on a hoist? If so, use electronic ears and pinpoint the noise.
