Car ran horrible when cranked this morning and SES light came on - trouble codes read multible random misfires occurred. What is the most likely culprit - car has been running perfect except when first started on cold mornings
thanks

Bad MAF, CPS or Plugs, but I would shoot for bad MAF!

Did you force it to run? That is, did you get it to warm up, and when/if it warmed up, did it seem to run better? If the answer is 'yes', your MAF may need to be replaced. Find one on line and DIY. Or, if you are brave, clean it yourself following the instructions on e38.org (down at the bottom of the left column). Some have done it and claim it works, and it won't cost hundreds of buckuses.
Good luck,

yep, I forced it to run and it ran bad for the ten minutes to work, 2 hrs later I cranked it and it ran fine but ses stayed on. Could it be O2 sensors or probably MAF / 02's have not been replaced and it's got 102k

Not MAF. O2 sensors are an easy replacement. Cam sensors are DIY items.
Start with the cheapest and work up.

I had the exact same problem and the code that comes up says CPS. I just got a new one but haven't installed it yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
