Just got my 6 disk changer from Pacific BMW for my wife's brand new X5 (3.0) Sport w/Nav, w/o DSP. The install instructions said to (6) "Locate audio and power cables in vehicle. Connect the three pin power & Ibus cable to changer." I found the 3 pin power cable but the only "I-bus" connection seems to be connected to the Nav system.
Is there some "extension" of the Nav system "I-bus" cable that's required here?

I'm going to talk with Pacific tomorrow, but frankly, you guys are the better help. Thanks.

Just got off the with "Louie" at Pacific BMW (btw, these guys are really nice).

He says that everyone gets confused by BMW's install instructions and it's really very simple. The 3 pin power connector and I-bus cable are the same connector. The correct 3 pin power/I-bus connector and 6 pin audio cable connector are wrapped together to prevent confusion with the phone 3 pin power/I-bus connector.

The small single coax connector on the CD changer is only for use with cars that have DSP and requires a separate coax digital audio cable, that Pacific also sells.

Sounds simple enough. I'll try tonight and take some digital pics.

Once I got the connector terminology right, it was a simple plug in 2 connectors, tighten 4 bolts, load CD cart, and enjoy. A monkey could do this one (even this monkey) and save a ton of cash.

No pics needed.
