View Full Version : Clearing out carpet sets...

Hey Guys,

As most know already, we're closing the Seams Perfect doors for an indefinite period of time. One of the things we're doing in preparation is cleaning house. During cleanup and inventory, we're running into leftover stock, and leftover materials. Obviously we don't want to hang onto it, so everything must move.

I've come across enough black nylon loop carpet to do 6 sets, which I would like to offer here, before they go to Ebay. Regualr price on these sets is $229, plus shipping. I'll blow them out for $209USD, shipping included anywhere in the USA or Canada.

We may find more as we clean up, but I'm not sure. We have a room full of shelves, with shelves full of bagged upholstery and carpet. For now, it's just these 6 sets. They will all be shipped in time for Christmas. Please let me know here, or via email if you want a set. Black only, auto or 4 speed. PayPal preffered payment.

Thanks,

Al

The carpet itself is a Detroit loop nylon. Standard automotive loop carpet, with a latex backing. OEM in most American cars from the 50's-70's. Pics can be seen on my website at www.SeamsPerfect.ca

those that may not know canuck should be aware, al has a long reputation of collecting money and not providing the goods....visit FAQ and do a search..once paid, you'll have a hard time making contact with him again

also, his carpet doesn't include any padding and the shipping from canada can be excessive and slow

chris willet makes carpet sets, made exactly like larson's, from the same exact materials and sells for less than canuck's markdown price...and you'll get what you pay for quickly as well

Oh Esty, fuck off. For those who don't know, Esty has a long history of being a douchbag, and forgetting to take her meds. Not one single customer in 4 years in business has EVER not received their goods, and we have sold over 400 carpet sets. Slow? Yes, we can be. Expensive shipping from Canada? I'm including Canada Post Expedited shipping in the price, so eat shit Esty. We're shutting our doors, these are some of our last projects, and all will be shipped by middle of December. Now Esty, pick up your soother, and go the fuck home.

PayPal addy is Al@SeamsPerfect.ca.

Thanks, you won't be disappointed. Esty is simply a disgruntled non-customer. Never ordered from me, never spoken to me, just a shit disturbing old woman with nothing better to do.

As for Chris' carpet, I hesitate to say anything, but I will. BIG problem with his set is the binding. The pieces are fully bound, not selectively bound like BMW did it originally, and like we do it now. They will give lumps behind the overlapping pieces, and not really fit well. I have had several buyers complain about the "Ebay ones", and then buy from me. That's a fact. I have nothing against Chris, and never said anything about his sets before, but Esty forved that hand, sorry Chris.

And padding? Well, BMW didn't pad the back of the original carpet, and either do we. Our carpets are 100% authentic in construction to the originals.

Esty, how many times are you going to say the same thing over and over again? You always "warn" people about me, and then offer NO PROOF of anything. It's getting old. You're a liar, and you wouldn't last 15 seconds in the real world.

As for parts I ordered? You're a crackhead, and know nothing, get over yourself.:rolleyes

Auto Interiors carpet has backing? Please tell me why that is a good thing? BMW never used sewn on backing, and either do we. That is a FEATURE, not a problem. Such a loser, you are.

Of course you still have the blog, I expected nothing less form you.

Here's the thing, and before you reply, go and READ ALL THE THREADS WHERE PEOPLE HAVE PAGED ME. Please, actually read them. LOTS of them have NOTHING to do with carpet, or Seams Perfect. In fact, MOST of them don't, and many of them are older than my business is. Just to drive that home a little more, you actually had a "Paging Al Canuck" thread posted by Kirin!!!! He fucking works for me. There are a million reasons why people page me, besides work. Get it through your thick head.

Finally, ask all the people who were actually looking for me, if they received a reply, or their goods. Go for it, ask them. EVERY PERSON WHO EVER ORDERED FROM ME, RECEIVED THEIR GOODS. Those who have more recent orders, have been update by me, and know what is up.

Am I sometimes hard to reach? You bet I am. If I actually answered the phone every time it rang, or got into 15-20 email convos a day, no one would EVER GET THEIR STUFF. I need to actually work in the shop, you know. Otherwise, it's not much of a shop.

Now, fuck yourself in your own ass.

I may be in. I got a few questions though. I strip my car to make it a race car, the only thing I have in there right now is the headliner and door panels. I believe the carpet is the last thing I'll need. Right or no. Are ther miscellaneous trim pieces that i'll be missing, I recall the last carpet kit I bought came with the main piece and then a few others.

Hey Matt,

You'll like it, I've never had anyone with a product complaint. The $185 ones with padding are awful. In another thread, many moons ago, I pointed out all the crappy things about them. Besides, padding is not a bonus, it's a hinderance in a 2002 carpet. BMW only used 2 small square pieces under the front passenger and driver's feet, and so do we.

A) I'm half Esty's age.

B) I don't spray dye seats, so you KNOW I would never do that interior!

Al

i reckon you're exemplifying what i say a lot...most, if not all of your results are only as good as you make them...a good product gone bad is your fault....

when those pic's were taken...nothing in the car was finished...the carpet hadn't been glued or the seats even fasten'd down...i mention this to be polite and informative

i reckon that you'll deduct from this pic the carptes are crap because you don't even get a piece to cover the footwells....right ace?

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y195/estyrog/toepad1.jpg

for the young minded disrespects on the forum...it's highly unlikely that if all of you showed a pic of your car to a lot of people, all would share you taste in style...it's the way things are when we reach maturity...we can't please everyone, hence, we don't try to please anyone else or worry about them not agreeing..or liking the shirt we're wearing

of course that doesn't apply when you're rallying to be part of the "in crowd", sucking up to another or kissing their ass for what you perceive as acceptance

absolutely nothing's wrong with black...i still have my original black interior, have 2 other 02's with black interior, a 320is with black interior and a few domestics....

i just wanted to be different with this car...like it or not, i'd bet it'd garner much more attention than one like it with all black interior...but like larson....that's just my subjective opinion...there's no fact to back up that thought

Actually, no. I will deduct that your carpet is shyte, because it's padded all over the back of the tunnel piece. BMW didn't do it that way, and that was for good reason. It IS going to interfere with the gas pedal, no matter what you say. It's also going to look puffy, and likely interfere with the fit of the console. Complete garbage, that set is.

Al

esty
12-05-2006, 02:06 AM
larson...for what it's worth...i recently bought another o2...the guys had receipts going back to 1993...the carpet is one of your's and it looks like crap....not because it's was a bad rug but because the installer did a hack job

a lot of the sagging was because there was no backing...not having backing, in this case, allowed a lot of wrinkling due to humidity or whatever...in my judgment, padding would have prevented that droopy look everywhere

because it's subject and would only lead to a pissing contest, my opinion is, your masterpiece isn't any better, doesn't fit any differently or has any distinguishing characteristics that differ it from the one i used...it appears to be the same quality carpet, as i've always stated, same type of binding, etc...one thing i can't and won't analyze is that top dollar thread you state makes your's superior...i'll concede the superior thread you use

then i reckon me saying it doesn't interfere with the gas pedal, now that everything installed and i've driven it quite a bit is in my imagination?

i'm orry larson, that you can speak with such authority about another persons car having specific traits, one you've never seen...some people can't separate the wheat from the chaff and tend to glom onto the 1st person they come into contact with, hawking themselves as the BMW Wizard that knows everything about everything

Folks are looking for him over at the FAQ also.

Come on AL we know your kits are nice, just type a few fuckin words to the guys waiting, or I can do it for ya.

( Al voice ) I've been so busy I haven't had time to respond to my Emails or phone messages or forum posts, we're working as hard as we can to get the products done and you will have them as soon as we finish but not before ( paradox ya know ). ( end of Al voice )

There now AL doesn't have to respond cause it's the same shit I see him type everytime.

Back to your previously scheduled programming.

mr pig...do you do a good sucking up apology too?

Thanks,

Al

Al,

I've left dozens of messages and several posts trying to get a response from you on the whereabouts of my non-sunroof headliner that was paid for and promised to me 2 MONTHS ago. The last time I heard from you it was that you had sent it out a month AGO. Since that time I have already had a set of 4 wheels shipped and delivered from Canada in less than 10 days.

It seems you have time to leave messages in these forums trying to sell more merchandise, but not enough time to resspond to my genuine inquiry of goods I have paid for. I left you messages explaining the urgency of the need. I have a dozen guests coming in for the holidays and need to get the car back together and out of the dining room.

This is not the way to treat members of the forums and fellow member of the BMW faithful. I expect a call 305-665-5373 a direct email jkurzner@mindshaft.com and more importantly an overnight shipment of my headliner.

Al,

After reading this thread and your senseless personal attacks that are vulgar and explicit, I for one, would never buy ANYTHING from you. I'm sure others feel the same way as well. It is of no surprise to me that you are closing up shop. With an attitude like that, especially in a public forum, you would be better off working as a truck driver than in part sales. Do you think talking to women like that builds customer trust? Telling a female to go f*** themselves is totally uncalled for, regardless of what personal vendetta you have against that person.

Dude, I have on personal vendetta against Esty, She has one against me. It includes her stalking me around the internet, to every forum I visit, shitting in every thread I start, and she even has a blog all about me.

Dude, she CAN fuck herself, with a chainsaw, from the mouth down.

Al also didnt reply to my emails about the carpet sets until i threatened to file a claim with paypal for my money back. he wrote me an email telling me to "chill out" and that the business isnt his first priority. if i dont hear from him in the next day or so telling me he's shipped my carpet set with a tracking number so i can see it myself, ill really be claiming my money back through paypal and posting a "bad seller, beware" thread. next day shipping so that they would be here before christmas would be great for all of us but the history of Al as mentioned here among other places is it probably wont be happening.

Al,

As a result of this thread, the propensity of you selling anything BMW related in the future is highly unlikely. I for one find it incredibly entertaining to watch someone such as yourself finally meet their demise in full public view.

Oh, and one more thing. You have no dick.

I saw a lot of chatter on this on the FAQ board and ignored it for the most part as I thought it was much to do about nothing. I finally took the time to read the posts on this board. Al, seems to me if if you fill and ship orders when you say you will and communicate effectively that all the rest goes away. If you have more than one person publicly making the same claim, it would seem you have a problem. If the business isn't important to you, then don't offer the product. Sounds like Esty and others have a legitimate bitch here. The vulgarity doesn't help much either. I have to side with Esty on this one (even if she doesn't like James Brown). Shame too. I need carpet for the 1600ti.

james brown...lol but you're right, i never cared for him...jackie wilson, i love...anyway carpet....

a good place, good quality, great color selection is AutoInteriors (http://www.auto-interior.com/1loopcarpet.htm) i've bought and have several sets in my cars and have never had any problems with ordering, receiving it timely or having it not fit properly

if you want to buy from a BMW enthusiast, get in touch with chris willet (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-TAN-Carpet-Set-NEW-e10-1600-tii-1967-1976_W0QQitemZ270072025821QQihZ017QQcategoryZ34206 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)....although i don't have any of his carpet sets, i know he has been reproducing them for a lot of years...i've communicated with him many times and sold him some stuff and my experience has been that he's a super nice guy

then there's BavAuto which sells sets like the 2 i mention'd above but for more money

now back to music...how about brook benton..louis armstrong..otis, al green...nat king cole....i could go on and on but i just happen to not appreciate mr brown's style of music

Mr Piglet,

As much as I am fond of sending Steve some money to fund the FAQ, the way you went about posting your little "contest" is pretty sad. So sad, that I'm thinking about killing my auction, and simply selling the last set myself, with 100% of the profits to go to ME. Blunt has been paid, Cris will be paid once I now how much, so perhaps I can put another $300 worth of ink on my arm.

That's not a mistake. We used to make the cutout, but if the kits are always installed by different people, setting them in ever so slightly different directions, they tended to be "off", and the little trim piece wouldn't cover the edges. Leaving it filled, allows for slight variations in install. Same deal with seat belt holes.

Good to know. :cool

Believe it or not, but i actually decided to install this kit overtop of the stock carpet for extra sound deadening.
