Hey would anyone here be willing to go check out a car for me in Glendale, CA? I would be willing to paypal you some cash for your time! Or is there a knowledgable BMW shop around there that could do an inspection someone could reccomend? And I would need this done hopefully today or tommorow...

Here's the car I'm looking at. (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=209532693&dealer_id=58479643&car_year=1999&model=540I&num_records=25&make2=&start_year=1999&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=both&distance=0&make=BMW&color=&min_price=0&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=76131&advanced=y&end_year=2007&doors=&transmission=Manual&max_price=15000&cardist=1204) All of the work done on it was through Avus Autosport which looking at their site (http://www.avusautosport.com) and reviews here on bimmer forums seems like a very reputable shop...

I was about to recommend this shop myself.
Awesome shop, and Joe is cool
Davidss, if Avus has done all the work on the car, you have no worries. Avus is probably the best BMW shop on the west coast.

If the documentation can support the maintenances, I would have to agree with <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Gary</st1:City></st1:place> about Avus's quality workmanship. I personally won’t take my car to his shop again since there are alternative and as high or better quality shops out there. (The M shop or Coast Motor Werk)
