I am actually looking at 2 2004's. One is the 4.4 at 36,500, the other is the 3.0 at $35,500. They have 30500 and 31000 miles respectively.

I like them both and I am not partial to the 4.4. The 4.4 is at a Lexus dealership and was a one owner trade in.

Both are loaded and have NAV- my one requirement..

Is this a decent year for the X5? They both have one year of the warranty left.. Would this be transferable to me? Could I purchase an extended through BMW?

I was also considering leasing a 2006 that a dealer has left...

get the 4.4 you be happy you did. More maintainance, but the wow factor makes it worth it. factory warranty is transerable, i dunno if you can get a CPO unless you buy it froma bimmer dealer.
