View Full Version : M3 Vs M5 CQQL 12-28-2002, 12:57 PM I know it is hard to compear those 2 cars but if you had to choose which one you will pick? LeVik 12-28-2002, 01:09 PM If I want upset about 90% of the cars on the road with a sedan= M5. If I wanted a sports car with performance and luxury all in one= M3. M5 simply because you can fit morewomen in the car:) Kevlar 12-28-2002, 02:06 PM M3 for now when I'm single M5 for when I have a family caviallo 12-28-2002, 03:34 PM M3, because I bought an M3 and AWD wagon for less than 1 M5;) There's $25,000 difference in price and little difference in performance. SDbboy 12-28-2002, 04:06 PM M5 no doubt. The most versatile vehicle on the planet. Pinecone 12-28-2002, 07:33 PM Originally posted by Kevlar M3 for now when I'm single M5 for when I have a family Better way. M3 now while you are single. M3 later for YOU when you have a family. Let them get their OWN car.:devillook I voted with my dollars. M3 SMG and M Roadster. The Roadster was preowned, so the total was about what an M5 would have cost. M3325 12-28-2002, 10:46 PM M5 for the LeMans color and it sounds way better. Pinecone 12-29-2002, 08:29 AM Originally posted by M3325 M5 for the LeMans color and it sounds way better. Lemans Blue is available as special order on M3s. tlaselva 12-29-2002, 01:39 PM Originally posted by Pinecone M3 later for YOU when you have a family. Let them get their OWN car.:devillook Well said. :buttrock fattrapper 12-29-2002, 10:36 PM If I could have one or the other for free, I'd take the M5. But only to turn around and sell it, buy an M3 and keep the extra 25 grand. I just think the M3 looks better! ;) ///Milk 12-30-2002, 12:49 AM ///M5s are the fastest Manual Sedan now. ///M3s are competitive wit Z06s and other such cars. but ///M3s are bad. the Phoenix Yellow is the best! ///MDriver 12-30-2002, 01:07 AM I don't think colors matter as they can be custom ordered. The M5 is even more luxurious than an M3. Also, the money is much different. The M5 will really set you back. The M5 also comes at the expense of two extra doors!:D tlaselva 12-30-2002, 01:11 AM If it was a daily driver, and I required it for long trips, and never intended to track, I would go M5. If I needed a car for fun and toying around, or intended on tracking it, M3. Both beautiful cars, with strengths and weaknesses in different areas. ///MDriver 12-30-2002, 11:56 AM I don't think the M5 is a slouch on the track though. Brian I thinks so too:clap: CQQL 12-30-2002, 01:00 PM People What about that Audi RS6 came out can that realy take M5? I still think that BMW is a better car CQQL 12-30-2002, 01:01 PM they say Rs6 is 0-60 mph in 4.6 and M5 is 4.8 Not a big difference but still ///MDriver 12-30-2002, 04:03 PM The next M5 will have a V-10 pushing 500hp. The RS6 will have nothing then.:D b0rf 12-30-2002, 04:06 PM Used E39 M5 and Used E30 M3...best of both worlds. iamane30m20nut 12-30-2002, 04:13 PM E39 M5 with ACS adj. suspension, custom c/f hood, 19 inch wheels, Dinan 470hp conversion. 0-60 in 4.1 for a sedan?!?
