Had the engine management light come on a few weeks back and i took it to bmw and they tested it and said it was the air flow meter.When i brought the car to a stop the rev counter would increase to about 1000-1050 and the engery meter (mpg) would go up to about 30,then it would fall to its normal position,and the revs would go back to normal.
Well today i managed to get it into bmw to have the air flow meter done,i told him what was happening and he said it sounded like the air flow meter.Well after £241 the same problem is there?i took it in originally because it felt "lumpy" and wasn't pulling very well,they said the air flow meter would sort it,well it is pulling better doesn't feel lumpy anymore,but the problem with the engery meter is still there.

anyone got any ideas??
