View Full Version : A Proud New E46 ///M3 Owner!!!!!!!!!!!
Turbofans 11-25-2006, 12:44 AM Yes, Yes, Yes,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On this day, November 24, 2006, I sold my 2001 540i Sixer AND purchased a 2002 E46 ///M3. Words cannot describe how incredible this car is! I will be posting pics soon later on in this thread! It is Titanium Silver with Grey leather interior and only 34K miles! I paid $29,900. And Yes,,,,,, I did check for the ENGINE RECALL. The car was made in March 2002 , VIN # WBSBL93442JR16088. I checked the recall and the "range" was from chassis #'s JR12921-JR16052. I purchased the car from the Lexus Dealership in Birmingham, Alabama and they are located next to the Birmingham, AL BMW dealership. The lexus dealership took the car over to the BMW dealership and made sure that my car is COMPLIANT with the service bulletin. He also re-assured me that the engine was warrantied to SIX years and 100,000 miles. Any additional help and precautions I should take, (Just in case I have to go to "war" with BMW North America) would be appreciated. I'm sooooo happy with this car!!!!!

wct8920 11-25-2006, 05:20 PM i almost bough that exact car but the dealership blew the deal, they were very unresponsive. anyways, great looking car, congrats
Thats M Life 11-25-2006, 05:32 PM congrats..what are the options it has?
berlinetta 11-25-2006, 10:42 PM congrats! Looks clean, about those options...
Nice ride...Hope that craftsman toolbox gets lonely.
Turbofans 11-25-2006, 11:33 PM The options on the car are very minimal. No heated seats (don't really need them in Memphis) , The only CD player is in the dash, no changer in the trunk (if there is a CD changer in the trunk, I have not found it yet) , No Harmon/Kardon package. I think that CD changers in the trunk are going the way of the dinosaurs with IPod connections. No "intesive cleaning" for the headlamps. Also, my high beam lamps do not have the little "recognition bulbs" in them, maybe I can put them in later. It does have the DSC button, Sport button and the button with the Tire and exclamation point. I plan to install a OEM BMW strut tower brace in the near future and tint the windows. It's good to be back in the ///M3 again! My first M3 was a 95' E36, sold it in September of 2005 and bought the 540i Sixer (kept it for 1 year and sold it yesterday). Going from the M3 to the 540i was a mistake for me, now I have my beloved ///M3 back, but now, new and improved! Thanks for the comments guys! In a few days, I'll get a new sig made. I am happy to be in the E46 M3 club!

sounds like you have the same options as me except mines SMG and i got lucky and it has the oem strut bar...definately worth the money though so pick that up right after you tint the windows
edit: pick up some painted front reflectors...stealth auto had the cheapest ones around when i cross shopped a month ago
