Is your muffler that bad? I say update your car first then go for peformance, but thats what I did.

well if you dont mind sound being a issue, i recommend just doing a 50 series or less Flowmaster single in dual out or whatever the 4cylinders need. its just a straight through baffled muffler. spray paint it flat black, buy 2 chrome turn downs, weld them on. turn em up or down, whatever you want. cut away the bumper with a razor blade after heating it up. there ya go. euro looking and styled muffler, sounds good. sounds like the motor and not a muffler. you can pick one up for like 100 or less and the fab work needed to weld it on will cost you about a 100 with the turn downs.

just my opinion. you can keep the muffler too for higher output applications. kinda heavy though, but then again so is the stock.

well I think I will go with the 200$ one.

My current muffler makes a rattle sound, and I jsut want a better sound when driving around.

Once I get a new better paying job, I will sell my ti to my parents and get a 4dr 325-328 or m3

rattling sound? first check and make sure that its not rubbing against the chassis. if not, its probably the baffles inside the muffler rusted out.

if you wanna go the cheap way out and still be cool in the long run, get your self a nice set of cats and resonators, hack off the muffler. and roll like that. ultra weight saver plus hp/tq. ;)

for the longest after i did my swap, i ran my car no rear section. i swear i lost 10 hp from doing a muffler. it was loud as shit but it felt like my torque curve was so steep you climb hanglide off of it.

hmm I am going to look into that, I will stop by the muffler shop my bro got his from.

My buddy here has a bosal muffler (20lbs lighter), he likes it.

Like saturday, my dad wants to take my car up to the coast with my sister, who is here from Florida; while I ride in the back with my laptop doing school work:nono.
