hey guys recently found some wheels a dude around here had for $400.
They are, for the most part in great shape...some peeling, and one wheel is bent slightly. I am going to send them of for refinishing etc.

I love the wheels, and I think I got a great deal (new tires too)....but I was wondering what they were exactly....I've had nothing but + remarks on it since putting them on.

I can't post pics or url's yet, so check the pics out at
flickr.com/photos/nadlib

thanks for the info...

They look to be Rondells. I forget the style, but I wanna say 32's??? Someone else will pitch in...

Very nice wheels, and that's a great deal!

Is it just me, or is the pic with just one wheel make the rim looked warped?

400 clams for a set of 58's including rubbers? that is a good deal, not sure how much it will cost you to repair it tho. Usually the Discount Tire guys will know of a good wheel repair shop, i had to have one of mine fixed when the Discount guys scratched a wheel during tire repair. The guy will usually schedule a day to be at Discount tire where you can drop off the wheels. Try to get the number of the guy from Discount, and call him direct, he may give you the price he charges Discount and you can avoid any mark-ups that you'd be charged by the middleman Discount Tire.
Another thing...when you go to get the car aligned on your 58's , make sure to tell the guys doing it to NOT tighten their rim clamps too tight...I think the Rondells are a bit soft. I had Tire Kingdom align it and they pinched one of my wheels, had to go through the rigamarole to get them to buy me a new wheel.

Thanks guys!....
I have plenty of picks of the Z, including the teardown and rebuild of the motor...you could say it is slightly modified...runs like hell...probably the most raw of all the cars I have ever driven...very fun at the track, but unforgiving (one of the instructors told me not to bring it back until I had a year or two more under my belt...not because I was a bad driver, but because he didn't want to see the car wadded into a wall because it bit me)
My Z06 (reborn from a title salvage-strictly track car) has damn near 600 rwhp, and it isn't even close to the ZR1....and it is cool since you don't see many, and most people don't even know what they are....

As for the camera, it is a Olympus Evolt 500. I knew Cannon (EOS) and the Nikon are more popular, and for good reason they are are exceptional cameras, but I just liked the EVolt better....I think it takes great pictures...and I haven't really started screwing with it yet....

Thanks guys for the help and comments....best group I have been associated with yet

Yeah, there are not that many ZR1s around like Z06s. Teg Nugent has 2 nice ZR1s though :)
