Has any body purchased and installed a set of those Ebay "smiley" E34 Euro projection head lamps. Are they any good or should I purchase factory units. My glass lenses are all sand pitted.

They are made of inferior materials and are definately a lower quality build. So unless you want used factory lamps, you have to spend over $500 on a new set.

Every now and then, a set of Euro Ellipsoids pops up. The last pair were used and going for $199 low bid, $219 buy it now with $70 shipping from Germany. Smoked Euro Ellipsoids from Abrahams costs $500, you can get them on eBay for around $400, maybe a little less. There's been one pair on there for a while, hasn't sold yet.

I have the Depo's, look fine, work fine, I added some 3M Invisishield to the glass to help strengthen them...I have like 180 bucks in them.

I have DEPO's too, and although they have performed fine, I would rather have the Hella's or Bosch's since they look a little better and are OEM quality of course. If you look hard enough, they can be found used for about the same price as the Depos.
