I have bought all my supplies and everything.
Now I want to know what to do with the areas which are not on the outside. Meaning the areas when you open the door and it is in line with the door... I don't know what that area is called.
And now, what do I bluetape?
The lights? the trim? the chrome grill? what?
and I heard someone say that they waxed their headlights, and it brought a shine to them. And they also waxed their door trim and and stuff... and it helped.
Like I'm just wondering what places I need to blue tape and keep safe. And what places I don't.
And what about the places when you open the door ...
Do I use polish, wax there? and how do I wash them?
Thanks.

It's always a good idea to tape the trim, but that being said I'm lazy and never do it! lol I typically use polishes that don't stain the trim and so I don't worry about it if a little gets on there since I can just wipe it right off. As far as the door jambs you can use a QD with cleaning properties like Poorboy's spray and wipe to clean in there. You can seal or wax if you want to.

First of all, thank you Jen.
and how about I just use my hand instead of a PC for the door jambs?
and for the trim, keep it bluetaped when polishing... and take it off when doing SG or wax so that they could put a shine to them?

I have several other questions:
1) I'm using a mother's clay bar, it's like 1x3x.5 inches. Is it big enough for the entire car?
2) For Klasse SG, David says to use a "terry covered applicator foam":
does that mean take a terry towel and wrap it around any foam pad and put SG on it?
3) Is it okay if I put Carnuba Wax right after just one coat of SG? or do I have to wait atleast 24 horus? and I'm not planning to do multiple SG coats.. so i just want to put wax on it. Is that ok?
4) If yes to putting wax, how do I apply wax? David didn't mention it.
EDIT: Thanks. And Holy s*** I just realized I hit the 1000 post mark already// I was gonna celebrate that... oh well.

- either method is fine

- it's usually best to keep waxes/sealants off of textured trim, but I understand SG is alright

I have several other questions:
1) I'm using a mother's clay bar, it's like 1x3x.5 inches. Is it big enough for the entire car?
- it should be enough unless your vehicle has unusual contamination...you'll want to flaten the bar into a thinner "wafer"
2) For Klasse SG, David says to use a "terry covered applicator foam":
does that mean take a terry towel and wrap it around any foam pad and put SG on it?
- he's referring to a cotton applicator
3) Is it okay if I put Carnuba Wax right after just one coat of SG? or do I have to wait atleast 24 horus? and I'm not planning to do multiple SG coats.. so i just want to put wax on it. Is that ok?
- waxes/sealants usually require 12-24 hours to properly cure before adding another coat or topping...if you can wait, it would be best
4) If yes to putting wax, how do I apply wax? David didn't mention it.
- I prefer a foam applicator for wax

Thanks.
I understand everything. Except where do I get a cotton applicator?

Hey guys;
question: Once I find a good foam/polish combination. Do I have to do this to all my panels, and then polish my way back to what I started out with?
