Any one know the top speed in third gear for the m3? I think I hit 100mph in third how about you guys? Would you down shift to third when going 80 to try and pull on someone?

Top speed is approx 100... If I'm below 90, I'll go to 3rd.

Eggh.. I hate popping it into 3rd above 70. I live in constant fear of the moneyshift :)

You cant really moneyshift it that easily. It doesnt like to go into first over 10, like you will really feel it lock you out. I also if its under 90 will throw it into 3rd.

Yeah am doing about 100mph at top of third at 7,900 rpm's.

If you are going 80 and you want any power you have to be in 3rd gear with the E46 M3.
