Hey guys,

I have an 05 M3 and I want to replace the factory foglight bulbs with the brightest possible options (white only). It would be great if all I had to do was a simple swap of the bulbs. At the minimum, I want it to match my headlights. I would prefer it to actually be brighter.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, is it possible to choose a bulb that may generate too much heat, thus melting the factory foglight case?

Thanks!

Brighter bulbs won't necessarily put more light farther out, due to the design of the fog lamps. you can put a brazillion candlepower in there, and they'll still just light the area just in front of your car, before they melt.

if you need that much more light close in (where your factory fogs put the light, with good reason) you are driving too fast in the fog and brighter bulbs won't help much.

:)

If you're just going for the I'm-a-r*cer-and-drive-with-fogs-24-7 look, you're on your own... you can put in some "ultra white" bulbs that are available from a bunch of places, no need for "the brightest" bulbs really.

Good luck with the search.

If I am correct hoen has them. They are a vendor on here and also another option is the HID kit for it. Thats really the way to go.

I pretty much just want them to match my headlights when I do decide to turn them on... thanks for the input.
