I don't have an ownes manual so what does the light mean that is a circle with 3 lines on either side?

Is it red color and near the middle of the dash? I think it's the brake light. Check the left front rotor and right rear rotor for wear. That is the light that is set off by the brake sensors.:shifty

I've only had the car for a week and to be honest I found alot of break dust on my front rims. I'm thinking it's going to need rotors at my first inspection. the brakes feel great though..They grab alot better then my breaks on my IS. Thanks.

your brake pad sensor popped. when you change your pads out, be sure to install a new sensor.

no no no, the sensor pops when your pads are toast. you need to change your pads (and possibly rotors) along with replacing the sensor. the sensor is a one time use item. you have one on each axle.

given that you're not familiar with the car, have your mechanic check to see which axle (or both) needs pads and service the car accordingly.

So are there 2 or 4 sensors? Can someone suggest a brand of pads that don't release alot of dust? Two. Front left, Right rear, IIRC. There are numerous threads on pads. Ask 12 people, get 12 opinions. Ultimate Axxis is fine. I use Carbotech Bobcats.
