Please tell me there is a way to turn of the annoying seatbelt buzzer.
Anyone know if there is a way?
Please don't tell me to just wear my seatbelt, it should be my decision not the cars.

Thanks

As far as I know it's a DOT regulation either in effect now or will be in effect in comming model year. BTW, it will also do the same thing if someone is in the passenger seat and not wearing the seatbelt.

My Dearest MyHot -

I have '06 x3 and an '07 x5. I have tried to do anything and everything possible to get rid of that dinging.

You are correct, when I tried to ask the same question, I got almost everyone telling me to just buckle my belt, which annoyed me because it is my decision, no one elses.

Nonetheless, I have tried to go to some higher ups and see what can be done, and there is nothing - you can either just buckle the seat belt and sit on top of it, which I do - I have a driver so when I sit on the passenger sit, I sit on the closed belt.

I tried to get a single buckle, but they are not available for sale.

Thank you,
UG

The other cool thing i like is if you set your briefcase on the passanger seat, you need to buckle it up too. :)

How about just keeping the seat belt buckled up at all times?
IE, When you get into the car, it will already be buckled, and you can just
sit on it?

Alot of customers come in the shop with set belt buckles they cut from cars in the junk yard just sitting in the buckle at all times.
