View Full Version : Carolina Euros
Travs25i 11-19-2006, 09:51 AM Ok, the new site is up. I know some of you joined the old one so I apologize for having to sign up again but this will be a better setup and this is a legit website.
http://forums.carolinaeuros.com/
Enjoy
mjames 11-21-2006, 12:25 AM Looks good, though I suggest you cut down the number of forums to begin with. It makes it less attractive if you have a ton of empty forums. Start with 3-5 max and let them fill up before expanding. I talk from experience: I run a vBulletin with 200,000 posts.
Greyman09 11-21-2006, 11:09 AM I cant get the site to come up.
Travs25i 11-21-2006, 12:19 PM Yeah, it's acting up, I am working on getting the issue resolved. Bare with me
Greyman09 11-21-2006, 12:22 PM Thats fine. Let me know when the site is back up. I just want to support it. Thanks
Travs25i 11-22-2006, 07:10 AM Thanks for the support guys, the servers are a POS basically so Steve (brains of the operation) is moving them this week
Just remember the first meet date 12/9 @ 5:00 QS&L (Concord Mills)
The site WILL be back it's just going to take a week or so
Travs25i 11-29-2006, 09:08 AM Just a reminder we are still working through getting the site up, switching servers sucks BTW.
Anyway, I am still planning on coming out on 12/9

Temporary 12-01-2006, 03:06 PM Making something to rival NCEuro??
NChalfpast3 12-01-2006, 04:09 PM haha...Travis is this gonna be Charlotte based?
arakele 12-01-2006, 04:38 PM if you need hosting let me know ;)
Travs25i 12-01-2006, 09:01 PM Nothing really to rival NCeuro but more so something specific to Charlotte.
I am hoping to be back up next week. If it takes too long I will take you up on the webhosting.

Sweet!
NChalfpast3 12-04-2006, 05:41 PM maybe there could be an nceuro/carolinaeuros meet in the spring..
Travs25i 12-04-2006, 08:34 PM That sounds like a suweeet idea.
crazytmaxx 12-05-2006, 01:40 AM I may have to side with the nceuro.org forum on this one. Why try to start what seems to be direct 'competition' with an already great local forum? Why not continue to boast nceuro?

Relax with this whole competition thing. WTF?
NChalfpast3 12-05-2006, 09:40 AM No sides here. I applaud Trav for getting something started closer to where he lives. Raleigh is by far no hop, skip, and a jump from Charlotte. I know I wouldn't drive to a monthly meet in Raleigh if I was Charlotte, I just don't have the time. Charlotte is closer to the western part of the state while Raleigh is more Eastern. Lets face it, there isn't really a central point that you can get to in NC within 2 hrs.

This has nothing to do with competition. We live 3 hrs from Raleigh, so this is our own little local group.
I'm a member of NCeuro and I like it, but it's just not practical for us to drive up there or vice versa. Just chill out.
Travs25i 12-05-2006, 09:51 PM Haha,
Yeah no competition, I hung out on NCEuro for a long while but really hated it when they would have local meets and I couldn't attend. Charlotte has a big enough metro area to have it's own deal going on. We all love Euro Cars and that ties us all together
Bert336 12-06-2006, 05:55 PM registered ;)
ih8rainnc 12-06-2006, 06:08 PM I'm about the same distance from both.... I get either one or both!
Travs25i 12-06-2006, 06:27 PM Cool, thanks for registering guys.
