JedzE36/5 11-16-2006, 11:17 PM wheel connection on Meridian just north of I-40 and North of Reno. the shop is East of Meridian. they do a good job but i am thinking the price they quote you will be the same as buying a set of new rims.
dblmikeusa1 11-16-2006, 11:45 PM With that damage, you are better off buying a new one. Just for minor rash, they wanted to charge me over $150...
Patrick 11-16-2006, 11:51 PM They repaird one cracked wheel and "trued" the other three for $250

Whatever you do, do not take your wheels to wheel connection. Unless you like shitty work and shitty looking wheels and shitty customer service. They didn't even try to match the paint on some wheels of mine. They just sprayed some black spray paint over the spot. I also noticed that the ///M was missing from my wheel when I got it back and the lady told me that it was missing before I brought the wheel in. I'm certain it was there.
I believe J. Mitro had a bad experience there with some ltw wheels too.
your wheel is in pretty bad shape. Maybe a new one is in order. You might run it past any other place than wheel connection and see if it is even fixable.

actually i remember Eric taking his Roadster wheels there and they didnt put the ///M emblems back on the wheels. then they tried to charge him a crap load of money per emblem to put it back on. he also said the clear coat was runny after he picked up his wheels too.
i retract my statement about their quality.
BMWbeauty416 11-17-2006, 11:07 AM I will ask A - you might get credit for the core
he messed up one of his porsh wheels bad sent it down somewhere in TX
took the core and sent him another refurb wheel

EricP 11-17-2006, 11:13 AM I think the best you are gonna get out of that wheel from a repair shop is a slightly warped, heat damaged, welded and and ground up mess on the heavily cracked side... maybe a decent repair on the front side though.
These statements come with having no experience with wheel repair, just looks like something that would be impossible to fix perfectly on the back side.. and I definitely wouldn't drive on it. It's not just cracked in two, it's more like cracked in four. The lip is separated from the inside of the wheel. That's not pretty!

A ///Monster 11-17-2006, 04:01 PM my neighbor bought some used BBS race wheels for his mustang. They were pretty beat up but no splits in the rim like you have. He took them somewhere in OKC and they look brand new now! I'll try to get the name and number. I did cost him a little though.

I want to find my every option before I buy a new one or wait forever for a used one to show up on here
jmitro 11-19-2006, 05:23 PM i agree with ted - do NOT take your wheels to wheel connection. 3 months and $650 later, my LTW wheels were "fixed" with a crappy paint job that is already peeling off 6 months later. customer service was horrible. they fucking suck and i don't usually bash people on the internet.
i think your wheel is too far gone anyway.
JedzE36/5 11-19-2006, 05:50 PM hey raymond, i am going to Seattle next week. do you want me to check CBouchez's wheels for you?

I took one of the wheels from my E30 for repair (pothole bent the inside of the rim) to Wheel Connection. After it was fixed, I noticed they scuffed up the outside lip (which wasn't damaged in the first place). They denied any damage, but I was persistent, and they ended up refinishing the wheel again.
