I've been doing most of my own mechanic work for the past two years but I find myself in need of a competant suspension mechanic for my '98 528 E39. I have not had the best of luck with Motorwerks so I'm looking for options. Any opinions out there?

J&B Eurotech. Seth Thorsen is the service manager there and they all are extremely experienced in all BMWs. They even held a tech day for some of us enthusiasts this past summer and helped us through some installs and such.
Great rates, good discounts for first time, rentals available, fantastic customer service, and above all else, excellent work.
They're located in New Brighton.

It's all relative - Orr is still cheaper than the dealers AND they now offer an additional 10% off to BMW CCA members, making them even cheaper than before. They just started offering the new discount a few weeks ago.

I just got my car back from Orr Autosport and figured I'd follow-up on my experience. They got me in quickly and had the problem figured out and repaired before my ride home even got to the shop. It seems the dumb ass that installed the front struts (hey wait...that was me, oops) forgot to tighten the wishbone/control arms to the body. They fixed the problem and did an alignment for $175. For the quality of work performed, this seems like a good price to me.

What a pleasant surprise to find a shop that;
1) has techs that know what they are doing,
2) has a bright, clean shop
3) has the right tools
4) understands what ‘’customer service’’ means
5) doesn’t charge an arm and a leg

This is definitely the place I’ll be going from now on.

Orr charges $95 per hour, which is dealer rate; they are friendly, but can occasionally be a little cocky.

Justin at Evolution charges $65 per hour.
