I pick up my '05 M3 Coupe tomorrow and I don't remember the last time I was this excited about something! No disrespect to my previous M cars (2000 M Roadster & 1998 E36 M3 Coupe) because they were fun....no doubt....but the anticipation and then finally finding the absolute perfect one, is well, perfect. I cannot tell you how much respect and love I have for the S52 powerplant, it may be an unmatched combination of real-world power and reliability, but getting into an S54 has been long overdue for me.

Here is a quick story which will also tell you why this car was destined to be mine....So I call up the dealer to inquire about it and ask about the existing factory warranty and certified warranty.....he tells me the "in-service" date of the car was February 2nd, which just so happens to be my birthday. Done deal......

Oh, for me these are standard issue: 6 speed, Imola red

I've never been much of a Mod type of guy, but I bought an AA exhaust w/ almost no useage, about 5 months ago that was too good of a deal to pass up while looking for my car. I know it's not as light as titanium, or sounds as high pitched, but we'll see how I like it, if I don't like it, you guys will see it posted here first for a really good price.

Congrats! The S54 is an engine that has won international recognition for every year it's been in production. And, it looks like it's the last of the great n/a high performance inline 6's from BMW . . . .

4 words.... I Love this Automobile.....

Over and over BMW never ceases to impress me.

The power is addictive. I will post some pics soon, just got back from picking it up in Jersey. Totally worth the long drive home, with only 9K miles, it still feels like a brand new car. I'm stoked!

I have to admit, even the sound of just the stock exhaust and the howl of the engine are fantastic...I am almost afraid to put on my AA exhaust. Somebody talk me into it.....
