Hello,
I just purchased a used 1998 ti and was wondering if anyone can provide some insight on it. I love it so far and it rides great. One thing Ive noticed is that its a little slow switching into second gear when it hasnt warmed up yet. Otherwise I love it and was looking for some insight...
Thanks!!

Congrats on your 318ti. The bimmer needs to be warmed up for smoother shifting. Go to 318ti.org for all your ti needs! :buttrock

+1 for 318ti.org. This place is great but 318ti.org has all the good info. Welcome to the club!

The slow shift into 2nd is normal. The general consensus is that it's programmed that way to warm up the catalytic converter faster, thus reducing emissions.
