I know that the boys in Raleigh (NCEuro.org) have a good time but it seems here in and around Charlotte, no one really rally's together on a regular basis.

How many of you would be interested in a Charlotte and surrounding area Euro Car Club?

Just gauging interest.

All I am talking about here would be a simple website and members that meet regularly for cheap food and hanging out.

Let me know if you need any help with the website, haven't made one in a few years but I'd be happy to contribute.

Ok, right now everything is cranking up, we are looking into web site services to create the site, anyone has suggestions, let me know.

The first meet has been established as 12/9 at Quaker Stake & Lube (Concord Mills).

A time will be established later but I would imagine 4:00-5:00 or so. Don't want to be out too late.

Once I get everything pulled together I will start a new thread under the title of "Carolina Euros Car Club".

The goal here guys is for us (non-ricers) to meet up and congregate once in a while, cheaply and easily. No pressure, just a good group of guys that can go to shows/autocross events and the like. None of which are required but definetly preferred. I myself don't care about autocrossing, but I like car shows.

The first meet will be mostly a brainstorming session with discussions geared towards rules of the club and outlook.

This club will be run as much like a company as we can without getting too carried away. This will include voting new members in and voting members out based on certain criteria. If you are a genuine euro car enthusiast you should have no problem fitting right in. We will go through stuff like this during the meet.

Be on the lookout for the above stated thread.

Kudos for trying to start something again. There were a handful of us meeting a few times, but interested seemed to trail off.

Yeah, I liked those meetings, I went to only one though. Shame on me. I understand that some people just can't get out due to family or work or god forbid girlfriends/wives.

sounds interesting... I'd love to come hang out but not really interested in being a "car club" with meets and what not

"The goal here guys is for us (non-ricers) to meet up and congregate once in a while, cheaply and easily."

^as long as its open to girls as well as guys...

Sorry, should have clarified, it's for whomever regardless of gender. And yeah we aren't gonna make anyone participate in club activities that doesn't want to.

Truly it's just a portal for information on meets and general euro stuff

Ok, thanks for that link. I am in the process of setting up carolinaeuros.com

That site about is great and all but not specific to euros. Nothing against other brands, just filling a niche here

Exactly. Cruising there now, and its seems like all domestics. That's cool, but not what Travis is trying to accomplish.

Guys I have some good news. I have purchased the domain www.carolinaeuros.com and the new site should be set up by the end of next week. It should be great. In the meanwhile you can still use my other site www.carolinaeuros.editboard.com

Well I was the one kinda humpin the last little round of meets. Life just stood up and smacked me around a little so that was why I dropped trying to organize things. Though our last meet and drive was one of the best times we did have as I am sure those that attended can attest to. Our friend Jim with the red Mcoupe was more than willing to show us the long back way to Spencer. He said something about only hitting triple digits a couple of times. And there I was in the wagon with wife and two kids flogging the poor thing(may she rest in peace) trying to keep up. The only reason the SO let it continue was the s%&t eating grin I was sporting. Plus the oldest was going "wheeee" around the corners. Couldn't have paid for that.

Glad to see someone pick up the baton and try and get something more permanent going.

I can make that date as long as nothing goes wrong in the meantime. I am taking the 3 car to VIR the weekend before and my brother is flying in from NY to be my student at his first DE using my car. Should be fun. I will show you guys my new paint job then. No razzing though as I did it myself in the driveway. Kind of hard to miss though. Like I said though I will be there as long as my brother doesn't put it in the fence.

I will ask that one rule be that if you have ever screwed another BMW person on the net with crap parts or bent wheels and then brag about it to a bunch of other BMW folks you just met you will be shown the door and have your car keyed every time we see it. Just a little something, not much to ask for is it?

See ya there

Thanks Ryan, sounds like you had a bad experience and yeah we wouldn't put up with that.

Hope you can make it out

It wasn't my bad experience but I was one of the guys being bragged to. I and my friend who was standing there when this looser was relating this story were incredulous at what we were hearing. We both said something about being an a## and walked off. Just don't wasnt that kind of hoser hanging out with me.

Everything looks good except for the fact that you guys are associated with INC...

The people that run INC are the biggest group of dickheads I have ever met... I hung out with them many times, got to know Bowie and Brandon and it was all good til I didn't agree with something they did... like Banning two of my friends because they had different opinions from the mods and I took up for my friends that were being banned and guess what.. I got banned also

This was back when the site had 100 or so people and everyone knew each other... Then after all that happened a friend of mine that was in their little RPM club decided to quit because he was sick of all the BS and they banned him for it, even though RPM and INC is two different things :rolleyes yeah right

IMO Their douchebags and I want nothing to do with them... My advice, don't get to be good friends with them because as soon as you no longer have anything to offer them they will drop you like a bad habit...

I don't see the correlation. Travis is trying to start something from scratch; we haven’t even met yet. Don’t you think it’s a little premature to be so negative?

EvilM3Chic

i'm not being negative about the site i'm being negative about INC I don't want him to be screwed over, Trying to give a warning based on my experiences with them...

I hope the his site works out really well, I'm always looking for more euro people around my area and it seems like he's starting something awesome

Guys, www.carolinaeuros.com is up, we will be going live in a week likely.

Regarding INC, my site has nothing to do with them, I linked them just b/c they were bitching about me advertising my site on theirs.
