View Full Version : Another one bites the dust.
cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 01:15 AM Well, i am officially bimmer less again.
Today i was on my way to work (from fort oglethorpe, me and kayla were visiting her mother) and on battlefield parkway in front of a central park a white S10 pulled out in front of me, and my car ate his front passenger side fender area (all the rest of the side of his truck).
Kayla was following me, which was good that she was in her car and not with me.
My airbag deployed (i didnt think it worked) and it was like a nice pillow.
I've known bmws are good cars in all areas but i didnt know about accidents, this proves that bmw is the ultimate driving machine. I struck the S10 at about 50 mph and the car held up great. by all means its totaled, but it protected me very well.
I'll post pictures when ever kayla gets home she took them with her camera fone. Her fone is dead though so she has to email them to me and she just brought me home.

BimmerFreak 11-12-2006, 01:26 AM  Wow! Im glad you didnt get hurt!
What did the cops say? Was the S10 at fault? I assume you didnt have full coverage insurance.

BimmerFreak 11-12-2006, 01:43 AM So any idea on the payout amount?
You need to contact a lawyer asap.
Dont agree to ANYTHING, and dont accept anything until you have had a chance to review their offer.
You could very well be driving a much newer and nicer vehicle because of this... :)
cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 01:51 AM yah thats the plan. i'm going to call my lawyer tommorrow, and call my girlfriend's lawyer as well. I'm not sure if my lawyer does car accidents as he is my criminal lawyer. but i know hers does.... thats why she has a 2000 VW golf now :lol
BMWALDO 11-12-2006, 02:02 AM Damn that sux.
cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 02:44 AM ...yes it does.
BMWALDO 11-12-2006, 02:50 AM Odd question I know, but ... hood pins? Why?
cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 02:53 AM previous put them on there. it had been in an accident before but it was never reported. I bought in pennsylvania for 800 bucks (shhhhhh) from a bf.c member.
he slid it off the rode into a ditch, it had some unibody damage. it was getting fixed next month too. but oh well. it had no hood latches either.
Well, might as well start looking around for a nice 325 :)
Long as you're ok you can make light of the situation and continue on with a few good jokes about it all.
There's a 325 locally that's been cloned with a ///M body kit and contours and it's on ebay right now. It's dark blue.
I was talking to the owner today at a car lot where he was talking to the lot owner telling him it's on ebay (showed him the auction while I was there) and telling him he's looking to move it asap.
it was a good looking car, but 185k miles as I recall.
PS- did some of my freebie parts get killed in that wreck?
cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 10:30 AM PS- did some of my freebie parts get killed in that wreck?
yah, you see the busted corner light... freebie part.
thats about it, the rest of them are in my basement.

ehh thats too many miles. Right now i've got a few things in mind.
i'm either staying the course on a car i was planning on buying at the end of the month, and using the money from my wreck to put some goodies on it...
or buying an e30. possibly using the money as a downpayment on something but i relaly dont want to get stuck with big payments.
325i Vert 11-12-2006, 10:36 AM WOW! Sorry to see that Corey! Its always such a bummer when wrecks happen. What are you looking for now? I know of an 86 E30 for sale. He will be selling it in a couple weeks. There is also a 91 318iS for sale here locally.

cerealkiller93 11-12-2006, 10:43 AM i'm talking to a micheal (betta2bme) about buying his 318i, i've been talking to him for a while and was going to buy it at the end of the month and drop my m50 into it... but i dont have an m50 now.. so i dont know what to do.... oh well... we'll see... i'm kind of thinking about maybe still getting it, and then when my insurance check comes in.. i dont know... maybe an... s50/52 :shifty
we'll see, i promise i'm going to come out better then before, and with something that i can take on drives and stuff.
Tn325I 11-12-2006, 02:17 PM Geez Corey, I just found this... Sorry to hear but it looks like things will turn out ok...
The biggest plus is not being seriously hurt !
You gotta let us all know what you do next for a car......

theseeker411 11-21-2006, 01:11 AM Awesome dude, glad to see you were able to get a decent amount of cash out of the ordeal at least.
Tn325I 11-21-2006, 08:40 AM You should be able to find a pretty decent car with that money... Congrats !!!

325i Vert 11-21-2006, 10:28 AM If you want to take a look at the Dakar M, let me know Corey. Sounds like you would have a good chunk of change to put down on it. Unless Joe buys it before anyone.....

$4800?!? damn I'm gonna go buy ten of them and wreck them once a month. LOL

What about this car you speak of?

cerealkiller93 11-21-2006, 01:58 PM nah.... i came up with a better idea that makes more sense for me finacially.
i'm buying "betta2bMe"'s 318, and since i'm getting my car back for parts... as long as my block isnt messed up, i'm swapping my m50 into it, along with the interior (my interior actually was in really good shape, it was just missing a doorpanel and an a-pillar cover)
i'm going to pay so much down and so much a month for it from him (we agreed on this already, before i even wrecked the car) and i'm deciding to stick to that. I really need to get myself out of debt, so what i'm doing with this large sum of money (to me at least) is paying off my bills. I'm paying my lawyer off in full, i'm paying my insurance up until june.
i really was wanting to buy an M or an E46, but this is smarter for me financially. no bills would be a blessing. Lawyer eats my pay check every month.
besides with more money each month, i can actually save some of it up and spend it on the car.
theseeker411 11-21-2006, 03:00 PM Sounds like a good plan dude.

MexicanDragon 11-25-2006, 08:08 AM Hey dude... sorry to see about your wreck, excited to see about your check! Been ridiculously busy, and haven't been keeping up.
I like your get out of debt plan... seems like you're on the right track.
Personally, I think I'm going to go the opposite way, and get myself into more debt when Joe sells his Audi next month... but I digress.
Glad your pillow was soft,
**BRENT**
cerealkiller93 11-25-2006, 01:05 PM Glad your pillow was soft,
