Its the best car i would hate to own.
Why? Well its comfortable, its quick, it sounds great. It doesnt handle very well, rather heavy. The car i drove had an SMG transmission, which was rubbish. It was very jerky, especially in first gear. Shifts were slow the paddle method is stupid. I prefer the Ferrari System to this, up shift by pulling back on the right downshift by pulling back on the left. I had a hard time adjusting to this pull to upshift and push to downshift non-sense. The car felt good, it was very nice to be in. Very quick. The Torque was phenomenal and the sound of that V8 is just awesome. Given a proper gear box and roof this car would be great. But it hasnt got a proper gear box or roof. Its a cumbersome BMW convertible. The cars brakes were superb but i couldnt tell the difference between concrete and asphalt through the steering. which was a very interesting and useful thing. Active steering. you practically never have to make more than half a rotation on the steering wheel which was great. The major problem with this car was that it seems confused. Its not sure if its a comfortable cruiser or a sports roadster. Its far to heavy to be really sportty and far to uncomfortable to be a comfortable cruiser. I mean it was comfortable but it seemed like the car with all that power wants to go fast but those seats cant hold them selves together at speed let along hold a person in them. So you see, this car is much like the Z8 confused its not sure what to be. Its too sporty to be comfortable and to cumbersome to be sporty. its an all-round cars that really not good at anything.
Although it will win most arguements it has with the rear tires in 1st gear. given you can out smart the car and turn all the BMW's iDrive saftey off. I prefer when driving a car that I drive not the car.
But if you had to buy one, do look into a proper gear box (manual) I think with a better gearbox this car would be much better and sporty. maybe more defined.
