OK, so I was getting the "check coolant level" warning and the coolant seemed down a bit. I got the coolant, but while filling it in the dark, I accidentally overfilled it.

Does this matter? Do I need to go out and buy a little tubing and siphon some of the coolant out or will it just overflow to the proper level once I drive the car?

Thanks!

It'll overflow on its own. Don't worry about it.

No! Don't listen to these guys -- you need to siphon your coolant!

Now, I don't mean to say that you need to siphon your coolant because it's over-filled; Bread is right, don't worry about that.

However, the first chance you get, run out to your car (right after you've been driving it for a while is the best time), take a small drinking straw, stick it right into the coolent reservoir, and suck that coolant right out. And for no other reason than it's really, really fun to do.

I personally drink my coolant once a week, mostly on the weekends. You know, if I feel like I want to have a good time ... a little party buzz, if you know what I mean. ;)

Be carefull when siphoning the coolant, I waited a little too long last time and almost hurled. It actually didn't taste that bad.

I think I read something like a spoon full of antifreeze will kill you if swallowed. Try to induce vommitting if it gets down into your stomach.

My next door nieghbors dog, a nice yellow lab too, licked some off the driveway because it is sweet tasting and she died a slow death the next day.
