So besides Edge's famous e36 Checklist http://edgemotorworks.com/sindex.htm I would like to start a list of "Must have done's" to make your car that much more track ready.

Some things I have adressed...(which still is not near close to being done is as follows)

Radiator
RTABs
RSM's
Upgrade Shocks
Guibo
Fan Clutch
1 bad wheel bearing
Tranny mounts
Clutch
Sway bars/end links
Track Pads
Diff Bushing

Also keeping diff, engine, tranny, brake, radiator fluids at maximum levels are key.

Of course any number of things can blow out on the track...Ive seen quite a few already. However Im sure there are more things that I may address in some free time. My goal at some point is too have pretty much all preventative maint up to par as to keep the car running back and forth from track and autox.

I dont think anything could be mentioned as far as the engine, unless were talking about either a rebuild of some sorts or an oil pan debaffle.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate all of your knowledge on the subject at hand.:redspot

When did painters tape become a necessity for track weekends? DE's sure have changed a lot since I got into the sport.

If you don't cover the front half of your car with painter's tape, no one will know how awesome your paint job is. Like, duh, Bryan. The 10-hp-per-sticker rule doesn't apply to tape, though; it's just 1-hp-per-strip.*

-tammer

*1 strip is defined as a car-width-length piece of tape

Well you can't DE without baller headlights... and then you have to protect them with tape.

Very cool:)

I actually just slapped on a pair of HP +'s last night. Im fairly content with them for now...but I dunno Pagids would be nice:stickoutt

Now Im still trying to narrow down the possibilities of somthing dying out on the track, does any1 have any other suggestions? Ive seen so many things go wrong, but but when in the moment you forget what/which broke on what car:eyecrazy

Thanks for anymore input:buttrock
