Better than the typical butt crack shots found in most race shops. :D Ryan-N-Austin 11-07-2006, 06:42 PM hahahaha maranelloman 11-07-2006, 06:44 PM Nice shots..........love that thong:devillook Did you see the tramp stamp just above the thong? B.Watts 11-07-2006, 06:47 PM Did you see the tramp stamp just above the thong? Come on now...you're talking about someone who is a friend of multiple posters on this board. maranelloman 11-07-2006, 06:48 PM Come on now...you're talking about someone who is a friend of multiple posters on this board. So? He posted pictures of her that way. I didn't. Save your outrage for him, not me. M3inNC 11-07-2006, 06:55 PM Funny that no one even mentioned the roll cage which was the point of the post. But I admit the cage is not the first thing that I saw in the picture. maranelloman 11-07-2006, 06:57 PM Cage looks nice! Evergreen Dan 11-07-2006, 07:07 PM Sigh. Steve J. 11-07-2006, 07:40 PM Haha, I had the pic opened and someone told me it was pchopped, so I saved it lol What classes are the cages for? Do you guys find it hard to get in/out of the car with the bars so high? M3 Pete 11-07-2006, 07:48 PM boo on the photo editing! But now I can see the cages. Nice. :) S.Lang 11-07-2006, 09:02 PM Never saw the pre-edited pics....but the fact that she's willing to get in there and deal with gutting the car is sexy enough for me! Cages look good too...I spent a good amount of time on the SE36 pics....thanks! Evergreen Dan 11-07-2006, 09:57 PM I spent a good amount of time on the SE36 pics....thanks! There are foot protection bars that extend forward and terminate on a plate welded to the firewall, both passenger and driver. In the rear there is sort of a box above the gas tank, connecting the rear sides together. You can see a little of it in the shots of the blue car. He's bending the tubing by hand (i.e. not a pneumatic bender). I wonder if he'll look like Popeye before this is through.:D SRiley 11-07-2006, 10:10 PM So? He posted pictures of her that way. I didn't. Save your outrage for him, not me. I agree with Bryan that the comment was uncalled for. It is a derogatory term that in no way represents her. I know that was not Maranellowoman's intent at all, nonetheless, it was inappropriate. I wish my SO would work on my car. She and Seb are great people and I have had the pleasure of spending time with them at a couple of events. Back to the thread: nice work, Seb. Is the SE36 cage legal? Did not know you were allowed to cut sheetmetal in order to accommodate a cage design. Scott -someone had to ask! :devillook clopez95m3 11-07-2006, 10:18 PM Never saw the pre-edited pics....but the fact that she's willing to get in there and deal with gutting the car is sexy enough for me! Cages look good too...I spent a good amount of time on the SE36 pics....thanks! I've seen that girl at several events and she seems to have it all together as far as crewing goes. More so than most guys. :stickoutt A couple of things on that SE36 cage. One I didn't know you're allowed to notch the body to accomodate tubing. That's a structural member you're notching also is it not? Also on the diagonal for the main hoop in the one car (the mod class one) it is clear that it's attaching to the main hoop and maintaining the plane. On the SE36 one maybe it's the angle of the pic but it looks like it's attaching to that lower cross tube and not the main hoop. That would be a no-no. Hopefully it's just the bad angle thing with the pic. Edit: I looked at it again and that part looks fine, nevermind. The lower x going into the trunk should really tie into the same point as the harness bar not above it. Anyway I'm fairly picky about cages but the fab work looks very nice, the welding looks quite nice as well. Sorry didn't mean to criticize but you post it here and it'll receive some feedback. :D -Carlos. leggwork 11-07-2006, 11:13 PM +1 on wondering about notching the body for the cage ... maranelloman 11-07-2006, 11:44 PM I agree with Bryan that the comment was uncalled for. It is a derogatory term that in no way represents her. I know that was not Maranellowoman's intent at all, nonetheless, it was inappropriate. Inappropriate my eye, Scott. Stop being a hypersensitive princess. The term is a common slang expression--without being derogatory--for a butt tattoo. If the original poster was willing to post a picture of this talented woman with her thong & tattoo blatantly showing, I sure as hell would hope he'd be ready for some sarcastic comments. Unlike delicate P.C. doilies like you. jmitro 11-08-2006, 12:01 AM i've seen door notching like that on a JP car, so I assume it's legal. what is being done about the hood latch? is the cage being built around it or is the hood latch being relocated? i'm having a cage built this month so my curiosity is piqued. nice work. also, what's the benefit of the nascar style door bars instead of the X? i am assuming stronger protection and more room before a side impact intrudes into the cockpit? EDIT - nevermind, just read the current thread debating this very issue. very good info. clopez95m3 11-08-2006, 12:09 AM i've seen door notching like that on a JP car, so I assume it's legal. what is being done about the hood latch? is the cage being built around it or is the hood latch being relocated? i'm having a cage built this month so my curiosity is piqued. nice work. Do you mean the hood release? It could be relocated or maybe they're going with pins on the hood. I would not assume the notching is legal. -Carlos. jmitro 11-08-2006, 12:12 AM ah yes, hood release. hm, pins is a good idea sharkd 11-08-2006, 03:43 AM Never saw the pre-edited pics....but the fact that she's willing to get in there and deal with gutting the car is sexy enough for me! Mechanically-inclined S.O.'s are a godsend and damned-sexy, IMHO. +1 on wondering about notching the body for the cage ... +2 :confused cajunairman 11-08-2006, 08:14 AM Never saw the pre-edited pics....but the fact that she's willing to get in there and deal with gutting the car is sexy enough for me! I can't even get my wife to sit in the passenger's seat of anything I own let alone stick her hands in to help out. She did help me bleed my brakes one night but I had to put up with the yakkin' the whole time about how much money I waste in racing......blah blah I get the babysitter or the neighbors son to press the brakes. seb 11-08-2006, 09:35 AM Ho well, I am really dissapointed of a bunch of you. We come down here to work and make the CR car safer and help you guys out and I read all those stupid comments on a picture of Julie that are pretty much immature and disrespectful to her. That #@$##$ pisses me off. Most of you met her at the track and probably made lunch or helped you out at one point or another, she in no way deserves those kinds of comments. Boy I cant beleive that seing girls underwear is making you people stupid. This message was not intended to all.. you know who deserves it. Now back to caging.... Seb ScotcH 11-08-2006, 11:00 AM Boy I cant beleive that seing girls underwear is making you people stupid. How can you not believe this? Isn't that the whole point of the human species and their need to procreate? Basically, we all become idiots and do stupid things ... it's just that some of us open our mouth up at the same time :D ps ... good work on the car ... keep it up! ScotcH 11-08-2006, 11:03 AM i've seen door notching like that on a JP car, so I assume it's legal. This is how rules get bent, then many people start bending them, then the rules have to be changed to accomodate all the rule benders (or breakers). NOTE: I have no idea if it's legal or not ... just want to point out that when you ass-u-me ... well, you know. ///M3Matt 11-08-2006, 11:24 AM I cant see shit... m332is 11-08-2006, 11:28 AM Come on guys... Seb is one of the best and would work all night to get a competitors car to the grid. Let's not make rude comments re his GF. This is someone's GF, not some some nameless, face girl! Vince maranelloman 11-08-2006, 12:25 PM Seb, I apologize for offending you and/or your girl. I was having a little fun with a picture that, frankly, shouldn't have been posted if folks posting it were gonna be so damned hypersensitive. Nevertheless, I apologize. My intent was benevolent, not malevolent. |
