I know there's a parked thread by David and Autogeek regarding exterior detailing...
But is there one regarding interior detailing?
if not here, then got a link?

Here is a link for showing how to maintain an interior that is already in good shape. http://www.autogeek.net/interior.html
If you have questions about troubled interiors you can post them or PM for me for more information. :) I hope this helps you.

What would you guys use to wipe a residue from a spilled drink drops on the wood and black shifter surround areas?

I would use woolite cut 10:1 with water and dampen a microfiber towel with it and use that to clean and then another microfiber towel dampened with water to rinse and then a dry microfiber to buff dry. :) If there are crevices you need to get into you can dip a cotton swab in the woolite/water mixture and clean up crevices that way.
