What Tranny(s) Will fit my 91' 525i Automatic? In need of a new tranny but have no clue where to start looking.

I can't answer your question but I have one. Has anyone bought a trans from Phoenix Transmission. Thay seem to have a huge selection and good prices. I ask because I am looking at buying from them for my 525 touring and would like some info other than the Ebay feedback.

If sticking with the automatic, any trans that bolted to that engine will work. I do not recall if the 91 means it is a M20 or M50.

You can gamble and get a used, or get a rebuilt. Or convert to a manual, if you are so inclined.

91 is M50 non-VANOS.
