Are LSD factory options on e34's ? How can you tell if you have one? Thanks

Yes they are. You will get an LSD if you car has the "cold weather package" or is an M5. I have a 3.23LSD 25% lock up from the factory.

If you can lift the rear end of your car (with the e-brake off and in neutral) spin one of the wheels. If the other wheel spins the opposite way then it's an open diff. Easiest way unless you have access to BMW's computer.

Should just have an S stamped on it in white.

As for OP you have a 3.46 diff. Weather it's a LSD or not depends.
