Does anyone know more about this?? If this is an upgrade that can be done pleasse tell me how to do it. My factory setup can't stop me fast enough :rolleyes:D

I have volvo front brakes on my 74 02

I got mine from aardvark, little over 300 $ shipped, it's a straight bolt on

replace your lines while you do it, stainless lines are 60 $ on ebay

The basic parts needed are as follows:

'80-'83 e21 front hubs

'77 e21 front vented rotors

Any 80's Volvo 240 2 channel caliper for vented rotors.

You'll also need lug bolts from the e21 to bolt the wheels on

For better brake feel, I'd run a tii master and e21 rear drums.

As suggested, replace your rubber lines with braided stainless lines. I run this set-up on my '02.

I usually get a couple pairs of these when I go to the pull-a-part yards. If you're interested I will hold a pair for you next time I go. Usually sell for $35 shipped.

What is the car that these calipers come off of? I saw that was a 240, but do they have the 4 piston calipers or 2 piston ones? Any 240 from the 80's will have the right ones? And they bolt right on? Just want to get the right info so I don't run into trouble, Thanks.

Most have 2, but you will come across 4pot girlings usuall snagged from a turbo 240. Their what you truely want.

ALL Volvo 240s have 4 piston front calipers with the later models equipped with ATE. 740s have the sliding caliper variety.

740's have 2 piston ate or girling front calipers running on 11.25 inch rotors. The 91+ 940 have jumbo brakes wich have a single large piston 11" rotor but a bit thicker.
