You should be able to use any wax for the vehicle. I would strongly recommend looking over this link;--

--it provides an incredible amount of info. It suggests S100 but any good wax should do the trick. As for the scratches, how deep are they?

For a light scratch try meguiars scratch-x. If that doesn't help any, I'd step up to something more abrasive with a PC or rotary polisher.

As for wax, there are tons of different brands, all with different/wonderful claims of how great they are. Good over the counter brands are Mothers and Meguiars. For mail order (autogeek.net) I'd suggest either P21S/S100 (they are the same product, just different name) or Pinnacle Souveran (expensive).

I agree. P21S and S100 are the same but the S100 is like half the price. Pinnacle Souveran is expensive but it is my absolute favorite on black. Liquid Souveran looks amazing too and it's not as expensive. Max Wax is another wax that's great on any color and Natty's blue from Poorboy's is an excellent wax as well.

the brand of wax you use is not nearly as important as properly prepping the paint before waxing it.

if you do a good job with the detailing process, the car will look better with the $3.00 bottle of meguiar's from autozone than if you used $500 concours quality wax with a poor detailing process.

The Detailing 101 Thread can give you more info on proper prep.

I agree 100%. The secret to a show car finish is 90% preparation and 10% LSP.
