can anyone help me out with these codes p0171 & p0174 I know they are for lean engine mixtures. I have called up a couple of places they are charging me 85 to daignose the problem. Does anyone have any hook up where I can get it diagnosed for cheap/discounted price. I am in houston.

did you just change the O2 sensors?

my car has 50K, isin't that premature for 02 sensor failure. My MAF was changed less than 8 months ago.

I was asking if you had just changed them because I've seen people swap teh plugs on them putting them back together. I agree with eric. Check the Idle control valve hose for cracks, and then I'd unplug the MAF and see if it still runs lean. Seems like there is something more here.........What else have you changed recently?

i have not changed anything else lately. I also check for vaccum leaks before and after the MAF did not find anything noticeable. I tighten the gas cap cover also. I think I would have to hook it up to GQ 1 system if this prevails.
