Hey guys, my wife recently killed the front of our 96 328i convertible after running into a curb. Had everything replaced in the front w/ alignment and we decided to go with 18x8.5 with 225/40/18 (it was assured by wheel company to fit). After everything was done, the car drove great but the next day I noticed that after taking curves at high speeds or running over bigger bumps, the driver side rear tire scrapes slightly in the lip if the rear "fender". That is the only tires that does it, other tires are just fine. I was told to get a ciol spring spacer/booster to life the car 1inch and that would give me more that enough clearance. Does anyone know if this would work? I'm not looking for anything performance or hardcore, this is her daily driver so I just need it to work and not scrape anymore! PLease if you know anything or have any suggestins let me know!
Thank you very much!

If you are only getting a slight rub at the fender lip having the fenders rolled may fix it.

Sorry but I don't have a clue as to how much it would cost. My experience in this has only been with race/track cars and we just whack the lips with a hammer.
I suspect that rolling the fender lips is the only solution with a real chance of success for those wheels/tires. 18x8.5 rims & 225/40-18's should be okay if the offset is correct.

If the car took a hit on the right side it could still have damage that has not been found yet.
Use one(some) of your factory wheels, mount it on the car and measure the space from the bottom of your rim lip to the highest point of your fender, give us the size of your OEM rim and tell us the measurement you recieve. DO this with a full tank of fuel btw. And compare left to right.
Also, if you could give us the rear camber and toe measurements of the before and after of the alinement it could help. And a list of parts replaced.
