Hey guys I'm new here and have been attacking every little problem or maintenance item I can find on my 1989 535i Dinan Turbo. I have a pretty good exhaust leak where the wastegate is bolted to the exhaust manifold. I can't get at the bolts (tight fit) and do not want to risk breaking the studs, anyone know a great shop for this kind of stuff? I think the whole thing has to come off and a new gasket put on... or a new tial 38mm wastegate.

I am in Weymouth 20min south of Boston. It would be great if it was a BMW familiar shop as I would love to know if there were any items needing fixing I may have missed..

Metric Motors might do it. It's kind of a haul for you thought, it's in Seekonk, right on the Rehoboth line.

508-336-8480 ask for Tom.

He is a very nice guy and does great work. I've had him do most of the maintenance/mods that were to much of a PITA for me to do.

We can do it. It sounds like a straightforward but somewhat risky job given bolt's propensity to seize in exhaust parts.

Give a call if you like.

It definitely not SE MA, but Schneller BMW in Newbury, MA, 40 minutes NORTH of Boston is a top shop. Mike Morris is a club sponsor as well as a CMod racer. www.machschnell.com (http://www.machschnell.com)
