hey all.

At first, I had an overheat prob so my workshop replaced the aux fan thermostat and put an non OE with 2 speeds (degrees something like 85-99 )
It worked for a while but it happened that fan clutch was the main reason for that overheating so I bought a beher fan clutch and its working perfectly
but now i'm facing other problems like the car loosing power when it's warm my opinion because of DME "having a high fuel consumption"( should I put back the OE aux fan thermostat to solve this prob?)
In addition the niddle goes down from 1/2 to 1/4 mark on high ways ( should I change the thermostat ?? 71 C would be good?)
The purpose of that I want to see the temperature fixed on half mark and fixing the DME prob

Need your opinion

If your car is running at 1/4 on the temp guage, then the DME is thinking the car is cold and using more fuel than it ought to. Sounds like the t-stat that was put in isn't doing the job properly.

get a new thermostat FROM THE DEALER.

it is most likely not working correctly, also be sure your system is properly bled- sounds like that may be the trouble as well. When it comes to the cooling system of these cars, do everything by the book.

I'm going to get a new thermostat but the dealer told me it's set to 71 C is it the right one ??

yes the system is properly bled and the temperature isn't rising more than half I guess concerning the heat things got fixed.
I only don't want the temprature to varie or losing HP when i'm stuck in trafic

Can someone explains me how a DME works?? is it related to the AUx fan??
thanks guys for your help
