So I bought my car with dark(very dark) tints. I also suffer from migranes and especially at night when i'm driving or in the morning with the sun I get headaches If i'm in high exposure of light. Now that I have my tints I realize this is not happening anymore and when I drove my old car with no tints I get the same thing, Especially with the sun to the side of me.
My question is, what is required for me to get a medical reason for my tints, In order words what is needed for a permit? Do I just drive around with a note for my doctor or do I need anything else. I still have to talk to my doctor about it.
NVM I just went on the dmv's web page and it says only for certain medical situations, Migrane is not listed but i'm still going to try because they have helped alot. Also I want to keep my tints :(

I have the same problem, and was actually gonna post something soon. I checked the mvc website but couldn't find anything about excepsions. Does anyone know if migraines are an excuse for tint in nj?

My excuse?
My car's registered in PA .. tints are legal here :) so when im at home in NY .. I get away with it because the NY cops can't give me any crap for it .. it's pretty sweet

astop being gay and just ride with your tint . i have limo all around and i have 20% on the windsheild . not just the top the whole windshield top to bottom. good luck seeing in my car. i have had it like this for 3 years now. aslong as you dont act stupid you should be ok. i have been

I sent a message and just got a response from the nj mvc. They said "You can[tint], but you will need a form from our Medical Unit first. Call them at 609-292-7500, extension 5032." So now you can use migraines as an excuse in NJ

i have 10k hid headlights and 7k hid fgogs . you can find jimmy hoffa when my lights are on : )
