It seems that every time I pull my car out of the garage lately, there is a rather large puddle of liquid underneath it (1' square approximately). it seems to drip as i am moving too, slowly at least.

Also, it has been seeming (since I bought the car) that it runs low on window washer fluid very quickly.

Where is the tank located? Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it?

The puddle seems to locate itself about underneath the passenger side cabin air intake. I have not yet removed it to look underneath. I don't remember seeing this issue develop before, but i often park on gravel or in a parking lot where i wouldnt necessarily be able to tell if the liquid was from my vehicle. I just noticed this now because I have a garage for the winter.

Any ideas??

the tank is under the hood on my car on the passenger side. I have 2 less cylinders though, yours may be elsewhere. check www.realoem.com

mine does this too, but it looks like 2 spots, when I back down the driveway there are two "trails", both closer to the center about a foot apart...

What type of fluid is leaking? Washer fluid, atf, coolant? On my car, the little hoses that carry washer fluid to the windshield squirters were melted and leaking badly. Check all the hoses for heat related damages.

i cant tell a color of the liquid. its not oil, i know that. it could be antifreeze and it could be washer fluid. antifreeze i should be able to smell, so its most likely washer fluid. ill check those hoses this weekend. thanks!

if you are adding windsheld fluid alot thats the place to look first- I use mine qutie a bit and have filled it once maybe twice in almost a year of ownership.

wow, ok. yeah, i have put probably 3 gallons in this year since march, and i dont use it THAT much. i thought maybe the nozzles were spraying a lot, so when i did use it that it used a LOT. sounds like thats not the case! thanks for the info.

I have a 1998 540i, and my windshield washer fluid tank leaks. I haven't gotten into it yet, though.
