I'm posting this for Chris (Shadyduk1979)

Chris said the number 4 exhaust rocker arm broke, is there an easy way to fix it?

Will he need to take of the head to fix this? I need a fast answer. He can't get to a computer right now.

It's easiest to take the head off, and he should probably replace all 8 rockers (assuming it's an M10)...

In a pinch, he *may* be able to slide the exhaust rocker shaft forward enough to change the rocker only since it's #4. He'll have to pull the upper timing cover + cam gear, and maybe the radiator.

Check with a local pep boys or autozone for metal filler repair. It comes in a clay like and/or fluid like substance and is usually used for cracked cylinder heads. After a little time settling, it solidifies. I wouldn't run like this for too long though. Not good. Best of luck. Keep us informed.

You can deff just slide the rocker shaft out, just remember to take the C clips out. Also if you cant slide out the shaft you can loosen the head bolts a little only on that shaft. I've done it before on #3 intake rocker.

Let me know if you need an extra set of hands Chris. I don't know much, but I can hold tools and flashlights.

I would LOVE a extra set of hands but the car is at work and i know i couldn't have a non employee helping me:(. The only exception may be my father because he knows everyone but i don't think he will be allowed to hang out in the shop

Since it's #4 exhaust you only need to slide it about 2" towards the front.
Try pulling and turning it from the front with a pair of vice grips. If that doesn't work then take the distributor off, using a socket and hammer tap it a few times to loosen it.
