Hi I'm form Edmonton, but I work out of Montreal right now.
I own a 1983 320i wich is undergoing a paint job, and some monir asthetic changes. (Mags 14" bbs ra), (Front spoiler from a 320is - I bought a crap one off e-bay and found a place out here in Montreal that brought it back to life, and then some- The companie's name is Keystone and Martin the manager put me in touch with one of his workers who is a god and restoring old plastic and rubber parts!) (New Tires)

Eventually I'll be changing the exhaust for a less restrictive unit and she'll get new suspenders, I was thinking of a kit the Bavaria or BMP design sell that lower the car 1.5 inches but keep some of the comfort form the oem springs.

it's wired up but i learned that my toyota ecu is not working. My engine guy is working on finding another ecu, but intil then, i just have to build the cooling lines and PS lines.,, is you engine built for that hx35?

Hi all. Another Edmonton area guy here. Big fan of the vintage stuff but I find the newer cars cool too. Been driving my E12 for 19 years now and my E24 for two.

What is it about Alberta...?

Just moved to Ottawa from Edmonton. Current cars are in my sig and to the right. Past Bimmers include an '85 e23 745i, '90 e30 320iC (Euro), and an '03 325i. Plus I've had four Benzes at various times, but who cares about those? A couple of sets of wheels that I won't admit to paying money for, and a '67 Galaxie convertible that I really regret parting with.

It's stock and under warranty yet so I won't be modding till the Summer. The car is great though I wish I'd found a manual.
Oddly enough there is no block heater which seems bizarre for a car with the "winter package".

I do not have my car yet, but I have decided to get a 2002 Z3 3.0. I've joined this cool forum to do some of the research before buying.
Since I'm in Alberta, there are very few cars that match my needs, so I will probably go to the US and bring one up. I can't believe the price difference between a car that has been driven on Alberta roads, maybe even in the winter, compared to the prices in California or Florida or Arizona.
I currently drive a Chrysler 300C (yeah it's got a hemi lol), and intend to keep that for sure. The Z3 would be for summer only, and garaged in the winter.
Well, that's it for now, until I find a car I can buy. If anyone is in the Edmonton area, let me know, I might have some questions for you!

I'm from Edmonton and drive a 2006 330xi 6 spd. Put snow tires on it and now enjoy winter driving!

Summer car is also AWD with a straight 6, but twin turbo. Not 335.

Purchased south of the border this past Summer. I was wondering if the car was purchased in Canada does the engine cut out with a limiter ?
Mine has done the 280 km/ h...and hugs the road
It by far the best car I have ever owned. Get the looks, the beast just clings to the road, in the slush.
The all wheel drive can out perform many larger trucks( 4 X 4 ) in the snow.

I am in the Pembroke area, Ontario....so if any one wants to do a Bimmer drive on the weekends, just let me know.

Hi. I've been on the Z3 section but only just discovered this one . I live in Antigonish Nova Scotia. I have a 2002 m roadster black with 70,000 km with complete tower brace, rails and butt strut package.It has a hardtop. Also have a 2002 m coupe with 27,000 miles on it. It's steel grey with a Hamann exhaust. I have gathered up a bunch of odds and ends to install such as Ireland Engineering subframe bushings, glove box fix, ss clutch line,rear shock mounts,etc. There don't seem to be many Nova Scotians on this board.

How could there be, You have all the best Z3,s now.:) Not like here in Sidney on the best coast. I knew of another red Mcoupe (Mine is red also) in my area when I bought mine a cpl of years ago and I just found out abt another red one last week. All in abt a 5 mile radius. There is also a silver one close by.

My first bimmer was a '79 318..I loved that car. I may have a 320 parts car. I hauled them away to a garage and didn't go ahead with the project but he may have crushed them. Tell me what you need and I could check as they are likely still there.

Well, the '99 Z3 is now for sale...I bought an '02 SL500 and am heavy by one ragtop. Only 55,000 km and in great shape. PM me if you're interested.

Onto the E60 - the lease is up in July and I'm unsure what to get next. Another E60? The new Jag XF? I'm actually thinking of taking a step back, model year-wise. I've always preferred the styling of the E39 - given the way prices are starting to come down up here, I may just buy an '02 or '03 540i or M5. I might even import again (I brought the SL in from Buffalo). I'll wait for the new car prices to drop more. If our dollar stays as strong as it is now, the manufacturers have to drop prices eventually. Thoughts on my next car?

I drive a 97 528i with some cosmetic upgrades, spent most of last summer getting my car to look they way I wanted it too.

Sorry guys..still a newbie, am 58, and figuring how to post a pic of my baby...my 98,328 iS..130K...spite knowing all the things that are IMMINENTLY going to go wrong...and despite those that have ALREADY gone wrong...(have saved hundreds of bucks, thanks to this site, made some of my own repairs)...it is still, in total costs, despite expensive parts, but @ 30 mpg...the best used vehicle since my old camry...to date for me...I am hooked on BMW...the paint finish...despite the stone chipping...is remarkable...the ultimate key...for the ultimate BMW forum, I think...is discovering a BMW service garage...that is non-dealership, at super reasonable shop rates, that just love fixing BMW's, know their stuff in minutes, even race them...this car...just rewards me for all my hard earned bucks...every second I am behind the wheel...perhaps because I don't race it...is the diff, of course...rarely sees rain...can't wait 'till I can afford a used...335i...twin turbo...god help me...

Just joined the Forum. As per the profile, I have 3 Bimmers. Latest purchase was the '00 Z3 from California. Owned a '95 325Is which was written off in '05 by someone turning left in traffic! Replaced it with the '00 328Ci. Wife's vehicle is the '03 X5 in carbon black.
