I tried posting this topic in the mechanical, but gotn o responses.

Does anyone know where the breakfluid could be leaking on a 78 320i if it isn't just the clutch master cylinder? I replaced it recently and still have a leak I cannot find.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks bimmer-experts :)

Most likely the clutch slave cylinder (CSC). Is it leaking onto the floor behind the pedals inside the car? Where do you see the leak? Have you crawled under there to trace its path of travle?

Are you losing fluid and does the pedal go to the floor when you hold it?

Well some pecular things that can happen are with the Brake booster and master cylinder. The master cylinder could possibly leak fluid into the brake Booster and the engine would suck it up through the vacuum hose so there would be no leak.

Fluid can leak from anywhere in the system so get down on the ground there and check under the car, in the wheels and inside the footwell.

Why did you replace the clutch master cylinder?
