I'm assuming that schedule isn't final... what else are you guys working on? I'll keep you bookmarked either way, maybe see you in Joliet.

The schedule is very light this year as MVP Track Time is more of a hobby and it can't interfere too much with my real job.

I hope you'll join us on the track. Autobahn filled up in about four(4) weeks for the 2006 event on the full 3.56 mile course.

Great to see these events are happening!! Do you have any type of entry list to see who, or what types of vehicles will be attending?!?

Several M3, one M5 (so far), several Dodge Vipers, couple of Lotus Esprits and Lotus Elise, good many 911 and Boxsters, Mustang GTs, Miatas, Audi RS6, S4 and A4, Corvettes and Z06s, Honda S2000s, couple fo Cadillac
CTS-V and a couple of Ferrari. You know, the usual turn out.

Mark,

Some track day events do not allow roadsters without roll cage. What's your policy of stock Z3 with Roll hoops ?

Mark,

BlairRM:

IF the owners manual states the car can be supported by the roll hoops and/or windshiled frame, in the event of a rollover, we are OK with it. We are OK if the car has an optional hard top in place as well. This is mentioned in the rules area of MVP Track Time's web site.

As an example, the Porsche Boxster and Honda S2000 owner's manuals states the front window frames are sufficient to support the cars weight if it rolls over.

This being noted, we suggest anyone running a convertible install a roll bar for track days for added safety.

Thanks - I found the info - I like the idea of the broomstick rule!!

I'd checked the FAQ and Tech Inspect pages but had seen no mention.

This is the first I'd heard of this group, but there's a good chance I'll attend the Putnam Park day.

CSALEXAN:

If you join us at Putnam Park, I'd like to bend your ear a little about your E30 racer. Thinking about heading that route.
