Hi, been checking out this site for valuable info since purchasing my beamer in early September from West coast. Where can i view a dash picture and/or manual on the 'net. Love the drivabiltiy of the car. Doing a once-over on the car, started with a dead fuel pump, new lines, injector seals, 4 Bilstein shocks/springs, brakes, rear sway bar, complete interior to black w/Ricaro buckets, sweet*. 4 speakers and deck. Now ready for Euro front and rear bumper install w/Hella spoiler and fogs. I see that i might have quite a time finding the harness/wirs hidden under the dash unit, hope i don;t get stuck. Also wondering what the very top l-h red "warning" light is for, it's shorting out when i turn the wheel. And, a black knob below and to the right of the steering wheel, with white image of light or speaker and direction arrows on outside edge, can be truned right to left ??
If i get an outdoor temp sensor, can it be mounted on dash ? Will post a few pics once the front Euros bumper/vallance is on. Haven't had a rear wheeler in awhile, a little dicey on the ice, will try a few sandbags over the wheels in the trunck ? Thanks**

Sounds like you have a good start on the car. Welcome to the forums!

First off, beamer is spelled "bimmer", just for future reference. Second, you can download a complete factory manual at bmw320i.com (www.bmw320i.com).

The top left red light on the dash is the brake wear indicator. It's a cirlce with 3 dashes on either side, right? The wear sensor/wiring harness is located on the left front wheel. It's probably shorting out when the wiring harnes moves as the front wheel turns. It's easy to just disable the system, I'm not using it.

The knob to the right of the steering wheel was a fader knob for the factory radio, which only had a left and a right channel. The knob faded that signal from front to back. I modified mine to be an amp gain knob, it works very well.
