Today i decided i wanted deli for lunch, but the one i usually go to was closed for remodeling. So i chose to drive out of my way and go to one of their other stores. One the way back there was a lot of traffic in one lane and one slow person (the gti) in the other lane. I kinda scrurried past the gti and cut him off politely (used blinkers but jumped on it to get in front) and took off up the street. The street i was on merges into a larger 3 lane style highway with a speed limit of 55. Im just cruising along doing about 65 when i see the gti coming up from behind, weaving in and out of traffic. I wait until hes about 2CL behind and drop it to 3rd and we push it from there. The whole time hes right on my ass but just didnt have enough to get up there and pass me....i was highly surprised and we shut it down at like 110.

Pull up to the next main intersection at the light. Hes creeps up really slowly and stays about a pickup trucks length behind me...I open my sunroof to listen and see if he's preparing for a launch, and sure enough he was. He was revved to about 2k-3k, the light for the traffic traveling perpendicular to us turns yellow and i see him start rolling. I keep my revs at about 3.2k...green....and hes already in a rolling start, as i launch from the dig. I have 1st to 2nd gear on him then he totally leaves me :( . Not very nice of him.

Next light, we're both rolling at about 40mph, light turns green and we're off again but i know i stand no chance of competing with him but finish the race anyways. He then pulls off onto another street before i can give a thumbs up or anything.

Damn those vw's and their snail power. Maybe when i get my supercharger ill take a few.

Yeah, it was stock except for the exhaust....didnt see or hear any other mods.
