Value of the vehicle goes down and insurance rates shoot up due to the fact that the vehicle is high risk. They will cover the mods if they are claimed through the insurance.

If he does not claim them, then they are not covered if the vehicle is involved in an accident.

and yes guys the insurance went down for me! so basicly you have a supercharged M3 for the less then the price of a 325, when it come to insurance

Explain how the heck the insurance rates will go up? it would go up if you insured the mods but not because it's a salvage car. :confused

I had a salvaged BMW before and it's was cheap to insure.

Like I said it's only cause of the MODS not because of the car, that's normal with any other car. ;)
