It is in pretty good condition for being a '78 overall I think it just needs some love and it will be a fun little car. I would like to get some Euro bumpers and lower it. Other than that I think I will keep it low key. I will save the fun for the E30.......

Sweet ride you got there...I wish mine was red instead of the dogshit brown I've got. I'd like to repaint it, but the paint is still in good condition for a 25 year old factory paint job so I think I'll keep it the way it is for a while. Anyhow, your car is pretty clean. Good find.

Mine's almost identical. I love my 78, how is yours running? :) That looks nice, I like the red.

It runs pretty well. Idles a little rough but not even that bad really. It needs new brakes but thats why I bought it. Just to have something else fun to work on. I really need new seats because I sold the Recaros that came with it. So if anyone has any spare seats or a good place to get some seats that will work let me know. That is the first thing on the list to do, because the car is worthless without them!

that was the e21 on ebay right? If your just looking for any seats to put in the car, there is a junkyard in xenia that has 2-3 e21s. I can give you the name of the place this saturday at the meet if you want it.

I bought my BMW as well, for a work project. Im still decently young and I need to learn about cars. I've always wanted a BMW, and a 70's model,s o It came in perfectly. I have currently replaced the clutch master cylindar, some windshield whiper hoses, and done some interior fixing up. I love it to pieces, it does idle upon start up tho :(. I just need to figure out the leak of break fluid happening. The leak was coming from the master cylindar, and now its still leaking after replacement and I'm having an issue finding where the leak is. Any help would be appreciated if anyone's had the problem.
On a mundane note, its a sexy car :) Keep us posted on the work done.
